Pokemon: The Little Mermaid Fanmake Chapter 5

Prince Ash lived in a kingdom by the sea. It had a beautiful beach, but the pride of the entire kingdom was its castle. It was a gorgeous castle which was also right next to the beach. At the beach Ash was playing Serena's melody with his flute. Pikachu stood by him, while Kiawe and some of the fire-type Pokémon, including Ash's Charizard, were sun-bathing close by.

Sophocles were busy making a sand castle of sorts with Togedemaru, Vikavolt, and Jolteon, while Lillie, Lana, and Mallow were playing in the water with their Pokémon.

When Ash stopped playing the song, he seemed discouraged. And even though they didn't speak the same language, Ash's Pokémon knew what was wrong with him. Even Ash's human friends noticed it.

Sophocles: Y'know, Ash, you've been playing that same tune for hours.

Kiawe: Yeah, I noticed that too. Is something wrong?

Ash: (sighs) Sorry. It's just... That voice. I can't get it outta my head. (pause) I've looked everywhere, guys. Where could she be?

Pikachu: Pikapi.

Charizard: (growls)

Sceptile, Frogadier, and Lycanroc felt bad for their Trainer too.

Mallow: Boy, Ash seems to really have it bad for this girl.

Lana: Yeah. I wonder if this girl's even real.

Lillie: Well, I think it sounds like something out of a fairy tale. (giggles)

Snowy, Glaceon, and Magearna couldn't help but agree with their Trainer.

At another part of the beach, not far away from the castle, Serena, Sandy and Sebastian were exhausted from their journey. Serena felt tired from being carried. But then she remembered something... As she sat in the water, she looked down at her lower body; Where once was a mermaid tail were her new human legs, as well as a piece of pink cloth covering where her new legs met her body.

Serena: (thinks) I have legs... I actually have legs! (gasps) But that means...

Raising her legs up from the water, Serena grew more and more excited. At the end of her new legs, there were small, lovely, and very cute by human standards, real female human barefeet! All ten long toes, heels, arches, and all. Wiggling all ten of her new toes, Serena's feelings were beyond words.

Serena: (thinks) I have feet, too... I actually have feet! (cups her hands to her cheeks in joy) That means... I'm really human!!!

Then, as Serena places her left foot back in the water and placing her right leg over her left knee, a voice from afar could be heard - Scuttle the Wingull.

Scuttle: Well, look at what the Whiscash dragged! (chuckles)

Scuttle landed on top of Serena's right leg.

Scuttle: Look at ya! Look at ya! There's somethin' different. Don't tell me, lemme guess. (pause) I got it; it's your hairdo, right? You've been usin' the dinglehopper, right?

Serena shook her head "no".

Scuttle: No? No, huh? Well, lemme see. (pause) New... seashells?

As though to try and give her goofy Wingull buddy a hint, Serena started moving her leg up and down.

Scuttle: No new seashells. I gotta admit I can't put my foot on it right now, but if I just stand here long enough I know that I'll...

Sebastian: (annoyed, shouts) She's got legs, you bird-brain!

This shout made Scuttle jump off Serena's leg and landed next to Sebastian on the rocks as he continued.

Sebastian: She traded her voice to de sea witch and got legs. Sheesh, mon...!

Scuttle: I knew that.

Serena then began to try and stand on her new legs.

Sandy: Serena's been turned into a human. She's gotta make the prince for in love with her, and he's gotta kiss her to make it permanent.

Serena meanwhile wobbled a bit on her legs as she managed to stand up straight.

Sebastian: And she's only got three days.

Suddenly, Serena stumbled and fell into the water, splashing her friends. As she worked to correct herself, Sebastian was losing it.

Sebastian: Just look at her! On legs; On human legs! (gasps) My nerves are shot. Dis is a catastrophe! What would her father say? I'll tell you what her father'd say. (grabs Sandy by her cheeks) He'd say he's gonna kill himself a Corphish; dat's what her father'd say! I'm gonna march meself straight home right now and tell him just like I shoulda done de minute...

He was about to return to the sea, but Serena stopped him, holding him in her hands, shaking her head frantically.

Sebastian: ...And don't you shake your head at me, young lady. Maybe dere's still time. If we could get dat witch to give you back your voice, you could go home with all de normal sea Pokémon and just be...

Sebastian saw that Serena was giving him a sad, pleading look.

Sebastian: Just be... Just be miserable for de rest of your life. (sighs exasperatedly) All right, all right. I'll try to help ya find dat prince.

Delighted, Serena gave Sebastian a big hug and placed him back on the rocks.

Sebastian: (to himself) Boy. What a soft-shell I'm turning out to be.

Scuttle: Now, Serena, I'm tellin' ya, if ya wanna be a human the first thing ya gotta do is dress like one. Now lemme see.

Finding some sail cloth, Scuttle set about making clothes for Serena to wear.

Meanwhile, Ash's friends were getting ready to head for home.

Kiawe: See ya later, Ash.

Sophocles: Take care.

Ash: Thanks, guys.

With that, Kiawe, Sophocles, Mallow, Lana, and their Pokémon left.

Lillie: Well, Ash, I expect our parents want us back in the castle for dinner soon.

Ash: Yeah, I guess you're right.

With that, Ash and Lillie were about to head home, when Pikachu stopped, looked around, and sniffed the air. He became very excited, as though he had found something.

Pikachu: Pika! Pikachu!

Ash: What is it, Pikachu?

Pikachu grabbed his pants while pointing.

Snowy: Vul?

Glaceon: Gla?

Lillie: What's up with Pikachu?

Before Ash could answer, Pikachu ran way ahead from them.

Ash: Hey, Pikachu! Wait for me!

Ash, Lillie, and their Pokémon ran after Pikachu. Meanwhile, right where Serena stood, her friends had fashioned her a dress out of the sails. It wasn't the best looking dress, but it wasn't too shabby either.

Scuttle: (whistles) Ya look great, kid. Ya look sensational.

Suddenly, they heard Pikachu coming towards them.

Pikachu: Pika! Pikachu!

Sandy hid in the water, while Scuttle flew away. Sebastian, meanwhile, hid himself within Serena's sail-dress as Pikachu jumped up and down around Serena like he was saying "It's you! It's you!"

Serena tried to calm Pikachu, but he was too happy to see her. He leapt so high, he managed to give Serena a lick on the cheek.

Ash: Pikachu!

Serena couldn't believe her ears. Ash finally caught up to Pikachu, who ran up to him, and grabbed him again as he tried to show him that he'd found her.

Ash: Hey, take it easy, Pikachu. What's gotten into ya, buddy? (sees a girl sitting on a rock) Oh... I see.

Lillie meanwhile finally caught up with the young Prince, and she and her Pokémon stood back and watched.

Serena: (gasps, fixing her hair, thinks) I can't believe it! It's really him.

Ash: (comes up to her) Are you okay, miss? Sorry if Pikachu scared you. He's really friendly.

Then Serena gasped when she saw Charizard coming up to her, with Sceptile, Frogadier, and Lycanroc not far behind. The Flame Pokémon growled and sniffed her a little bit, because he never saw this girl before. This made Serena a little nervous, as she had never seen a Pokémon like Charizard either.

Ash: Don't worry about Charizard. He may look ferocious, but he's just a puppy on the inside... Once ya get to know 'im.

Then Charizard decided that this girl was okay, and gave her a lick on the cheek. It was bigger than Pikachu's lick, though, but she didn't pay much attention because she noticed Ash was looking at her closely.

Ash: Y'know... You seem very familiar... To me. Have we met?

Serena nodded.

Pikachu: (excited) Pika-pika!

Ash: We have met? I knew it! You're the one; the one I've been looking for! What's your name?

Pikachu was excited to hear her voice. Serena tried to speak, but nothing came out of her mouth. She remembered that she lost her voice to the witch.

Ash: (concerned) What's wrong? What is it?

Serena placed a hand to where her voice had once been.

Ash: You can't speak?

Serena sadly shook her head "no".

Ash: Oh. Then you couldn't be who I thought.

Pikachu: (disappointed) Pikachu...

Serena was disappointed, too. But then she decided to try something else; She tried using pantomime.

Ash: W-what is it? Y-You're hurt? (pause) No, no... You need help.

Suddenly, Serena fell from the rock.

Ash: (catching her) Whoa, whoa, careful! Careful, easy.

Lillie watched the whole thing, and thought the girl was really pretty.

Lillie: Oh my. Whoever that girl is, I think she's captured Ash's heart. (smiles)

Ash: (to Serena) Gee, ya must've really been through somethin'. Well, don't worry. I'll help ya out.

Pikachu: Pika! Pikachu!

Charizard, Sceptile, Frogadier, and Lycanroc nodded in agreement.

Lillie: I'll help, too! (walks up) Don't worry, miss. (bows) You're in good hands.

Ash: (to Serena) This is Lillie, a friend of mine who lives in the castle with me, my Mom, the Queen, and her brother, Gladion, and their mother, the Grand Duchess Lusamine.

Lillie: Nice to meet you, miss. These are my friends, Snowy, Glaceon, and Magearna.

Snowy: Vulpix.

Glaceon: Glaceon.

Magearna brought out a bouquet of flowers from one of its arms and presented them to Serena.

Ash: Well, c'mon then.

With that, Lillie and Ash walked Serena on toward the castle. Serena managed to give a quick wink to Sandy and Scuttle, who wished her luck from behind. As she walked along the beach, Serena noticed just how warm and soft the sand was against her feet.

Serena: (looks down, thinks) Ooooh. The sand feels nice on my feet.

Spreading out her toes as she walked, she could see sand gathering between them. This made her giggle a bit. It seemed like she was going to enjoy having her own pair of feet after all.

Upon arriving at the castle, Serena saw how magnificent it was.

Serena: (thinks) Wow! So that's what a human castle looks like. It's beautiful. Just like the temple back home.

At the castle entrance, there stood Her Majesty, Queen Delia, along with Counselor Oak, and the Grand Duchess Lusamine.

Grand Duchess Lusamine: Hello, Lillie dear.

Queen Delia: Hello, Ash. (sees Serena) Who's your new friend?

Ash: Our Pokémon and we found her on the beach.

Lillie: Yes. She can't speak, but she needs help.

Grand Duchess Lusamine: Well, of course, dear.

Queen Delia: Any guest of my son should have all the help she needs.

Counselor Oak: I'll have Sally, the head maid, help her at once, Your Majesty. (calls) Sally?

Out came a young maid. Sally were a blue blouse, and a blue dress, and had her hair in a ponytail. With her was a Simipour and an Espeon.

Sally: (curtsies) You summoned me?

Queen Delia: Sally, this girl is a guest of Ash. Would you please give her some royal treatment?

Sally: Oh, yes. Of course, Your Majesty. (curtsies) I'll see that she gets the best of attention. (to Serena) Please, follow me.

Taking Serena by the hand, Sally escorted her inside. Serena felt how warm the stone stairs were in the sun under her feet.

Serena: (thinks) These feel kinda hard on my feet. But they're not bad.

Then she felt the floor inside the castle. It felt nice and smooth. Looking down once more, Serena spread her toes out. Then she saw something... Sally too was barefoot.

Serena: (thinks) Huh. She doesn't have anything on her feet either. (looks around) But some of the other girls do. Wonder why? What's wrong with just being barefoot?

Later, in the bathtub, Serena was having the time of her life. She never knew how fun bubbles were and how relaxing a good bath was.

Serena: (sighs in relaxation; thinks) So this is how humans bathe. It's so smooth.

Sally: Washed up from a shipwreck. Poor thing. (to Serena) Don't worry, we'll have you feeling better in no time.

Serena's sail-dress was close by, and Sebastian was still inside. A girl named Bianca picked it up.

Bianca: (looks at it) I'll just, er, I'll just get this washed for you.

The sail-dress is taken by laundry girls - Iris, Shannon, Anthea, and Concordia.

Iris: Well, ya must've at least heard about this girl.

Shannon: Well, this girl says...

As Serena's sail-dress was getting washed, Sebastian got dunked in the soapy water.

Shannon: Since when has that girl gotten anything right?

Sebastian belched out some bubbles as the sail-dress was taken to a conveyer belt.

Iris: I know. I mean, this girl shows up in rags and doesn't speak? Not exactly my idea of a princess. (puts the sail-dress on clothes line) But, if Ash is looking for a girl, I know a couple of highly available ones right here...

Sebastian managed to dive into a nearby window.

Sebastian: (rubs his head) What a day I'm having.

He soon found out he was in the kitchen, and saw various fish cooking. This all made him faint.

Meanwhile, Ash, Jacob, Queen Delia, Counselor Oak, Grand Duchess Lusamine, and her assistant Wicke, were in the big dining hall. It had huge windows and had a nice view of the ocean. Jacob was busy cleaning his glasses as he spoke.

Jacob: Och, Ash, be reasonable. Bonnie lassies dinnae just swim around rescuin' people in the middle of the ocean, and then flitter off intae oblivion, like some...

Ash: I'm tellin' ya, Jake, she was real! I'm gonna find that girl... And when I do, I'll ask for her hand in marriage.

Gladion: Not to be a naysayer, but this girl of yours could likely be anyone in the kingdom.

Wicke: Oh, I don't know. I think it sounds romantic. (giggles)

Grand Duchess Lusamine: Oh, Wicke. You always were a sucker for romances.

Wicke: (blushes) Yes, it's true, Your Grace.

Just then, Serena was escorted in by Sally and Lillie.

Sally: Come along, don't be shy.

Lillie: Don't worry, you'll be fine.

As she came in, Serena was a beautiful sight to behold; Her honey-blonde hair was long, but beautifully brushed, she had on a beautiful seashell pink gown, and had on some pearls and ear-rings.

Counselor Oak: My, my, Ash, isn't she a vision?

Queen Delia: Oh yes, a wonderful sight to see.

Grand Duchess Lusamine: You're right, Your Majesty. I most definitely approve.

Ash was struck by such beauty, he couldn't even find his words at first.

Ash: Uh... You look wonderful.

Serena felt flattered, and blushed. Then Queen Delia looked and saw something about her.

Queen Delia: Oh, you have no shoes on.

Serena looked down at her feet, and her toes scrunched a bit. Then, Sally and Lillie stepped in.

Sally: Lillie and I tried to have her pick nice shoes for her to wear, but she didn't like any of them.

Lillie: I even tried to have her try out a pair of pink strap-on shoes, but she simply shrugged them off.

Grand Duchess Lusamine: Now, why on earth would she not want shoes?

Sally: Well, Your Grace, my guess is may be she's like me, someone who enjoys going around barefoot more than going in shoes, but will wear shoes if necessary. But my second guess is she's most likely someone who doesn't like shoes and just loves being barefoot as much as she can.

Serena: (thinks) Guess that's why Sally isn't wearing shoes; Because she enjoys being barefoot more. (looks down) But no shoes for me; I like my new feet as they are.

Then Serena smiled as she wiggled her bare toes happily. She also noticed how nice and smooth the floor was.

Sally: Either way, Your Majesty, she seems happiest being barefoot.

Jacob: (comes up) Och, that's perfectly unnerstanable. After all, Your Majesty, if ye allows our dear Sally tae go around the kingdom barefoot, who's tae say we shouldn'nae allow our bonnie lass here tae do the same?

Gladion: Jacob does bring up a good point, Mother.

Lillie: I agree.

Grand Duchess Lusamine: Oh, well, I suppose...

Ash: (to his mother) They're right, Mom. We should let our guest do as she chooses. (thinks) Though I have to admit, her feet are kinda cute.

Queen Delia: Oh, well, my son is right. And after all, you are our guest.

Grand Duchess Lusamine: I agree, Your Majesty. (to Serena) I apologize for being a bit judgmental, young one.

Queen Delia: So if you wanna be barefoot while you're here, that's perfectly fine by me.

Serena was happy to hear that, and politely bowed to the Queen and the Grand Duchess.

Jacob: Nou come along, ye must be famished. Let me help ye, lassie.

Serena: (thinks) That's good. After becoming a human, I'm actually kinda hungry.

She heard her stomach growl as Ash helped her to a seat, right next to his own.

Jacob: There, quite comfy?

Serena nodded. Then she saw a fork on the table.

Jacob: (chuckles) It's, eh, nae often that we hae such a bonnie dinner guest, eh?

Counselor Oak: Well I must say, I quite agree.

Picking up the fork, Serena started combing her hair with it. But then she noticed Ash, Queen Delia, Counselor Oak, Grand Duchess Lusamine, Wicke, Gladion, Lillie, Jacob, and Sally looking a bit dumbfounded at what they were seeing. Placing the fork back on the table, she felt a bit embarrassed.

Then Serena noticed Jacob with a pipe, dipping it in some liquid in a pot on the table. Then he put one end of the pipe in his mouth, and started blowing bubbles. Suddenly, Jacob turns to you, the readers, suspiciously.

Jacob: (to you, the readers) What? Ye actually thought A'd be smokin' a pipe?

As he went back to blowing bubbles with his pipe, he noticed Serena looked excited by what she was seeing.

Jacob: Och, er, do ye like it? (allows her to have the bubble pipe for a moment) Eh, 'tis rather a fine... Ach!

Suddenly, Serena blew right into the pipe, causing a barrage of bubbles to go right into Jacob's face. This made the Queen, Counselor, Grand Duchess, Lillie, Gladion, Sally, and even Ash laugh when they saw this.

Wicke: (laughs) Oh my!

Sally: (giggles) My goodness!

Ash: (laughs) Ahem, uh, so sorry, Jake.

Queen Delia: Why, Ash, that's the first time I've seen you smile in weeks.

As Her Majesty said that, Jacob was cleaning his face of the soapy bubbles with a napkin before moving onto cleaning his glasses once again.

Jacob: Aye, verra amusing. (sniffs) So, Sally, m'dear, what's for dinner?

Sally: Oooh, you're gonna love it. Chef's been fixing her specialty, stuffed crab.

Meanwhile, Sebastian was still in the kitchen, when he spied the castle's chef. Her name was Burgundy; she had lilac eyes, purple hair, and spoke in a faux French accent, as though to make herself sound elegant. As she was preparing dinner, Burgundy was humming to herself, which soon evolved into her singing.

Burgundy: (singing) Nouvelle cuisine

(giggles, singing) Les poissons, les poissons
How I love les poissons
Love to chop and to serve little fish

First I cut off zeir heads
Then I pull out zeir bones
Ah mais oui, ça c'est toujours délice

With ze cleaver I hack zem in two
I pull out what's inside
And I serve it up fried
Cause I love little fishes, don't you?

Here's something for tempting ze palate
Prepared in ze classic technique
First you pound ze fish flat with ze mallet

Give ze belly a slice
Zen you rub some salt in
Cause that makes it taste nice

Sebastian tried to hide in some green lettuce, but Burgundy discovered him, making him gasp.

Burgundy: Zut alors! I've missed one. (picks him up, singing) Sacrebleu, what is this?
How on earth could I miss
Such a sweet little succulent crab?
Quel Dommage, what a loss
Here we go, in ze sauce
Now some flour I zink just a dab
Now I'll stuff you with bread
It don't hurt, cause you're dead
And you're certainly lucky you are
Cause it's gonna be hot in my big silver pot
Tout-aloo mon poisson
Au revoir

Throwing Sebastian into the boiling pot, he manages to save himself and hops back on the table.

Burgundy: (notices) Eh? (picks him up again) What is zis?

Sebastian quickly pinched her nose and escaped with great speed.

Burgundy: (in pain) Ow! (grabs her nose in pain)

Burgundy tried to get her hands on him, but Sebastian slipped out and she accidentally burnt her hand on the griller.

Burgundy: (in pain) Yeeeeeeow!!

Then a frying pan landed on her foot, making her clutch it in her hands and hop on the other in pain.

Burgundy: (in pain) Oh, ow, ee, ow, oh, oh-ho-ho!

Then Burgundy grabbed all her knives from a knife rack with two hands, throwing all of them at Sebastian, but he managed to evade them and throw a bowl of sauce on Burgundy's head. Burgundy was getting mad by this time, as she took a cleaver knife and chomped a cabinet in half and threw it at Sebastian. But he managed to get away as Burgundy began to pursue him with a mallet, screaming like a mad-woman.

The noise could soon be heard even in the dining hall.

Jacob: Great Scott!

Counselor Oak: What on earth is going on?

Sally: (nervously) Uh, I think I'd better go see what Burgundy is up to. (leaves)

In the kitchen, Burgundy was trashing the place trying to find Sebastian.

Burgundy: Come out, petit pipsqueak, and fight like a man!

Sally: (enters) Burgundy?!

This surprised Burgundy into bumping her head against the table she was looking under and come out, holding her head in pain. Then she saw Sally, who had a stern look on her face.

Sally: What are you doing?!

Burgundy: (nervously) Well, I-I-I was just, er, er, uh, I'm sorry madame. (giggles nervously)

Sally just ignored Burgundy and took the plates in a tray into the dining hall.

Grand Duchess Lusamine: (to Ash) You know, Your Highness, perhaps our young guest might enjoy seeing some of the sights of the kingdom. Something in the way of a tour?

Ash: Uh... I'm sorry, what was that?

Queen Delia: Let me, Lusamine. Honey, you can't spend all your time moping around, you need to get out. Do something, have a life. You know, get your mind off...

As Jacob lifted his plate's cover, he was too distracted by the conversation between the Queen and the Prince to notice Sebastian cowering in the salad. Serena did, and he moved his claw to his mouth, telling her to not let anyone know he was there.

Ash: Easy, Mom, easy. It's actually not a bad idea. If she's interested.

Thinking quickly while Ash was talking, Serena lifted her own plate cover and signaled Sebastian to hide there. Sebastian rushed across, making sure no one was looking. Once she made sure Sebastian was safe, Serena quickly closed the plate's cover, leaning heavily on it as Ash turned to her.

Ash: Well, whaddaya say? Would ya like to join me on a tour of my kingdom tomorrow?

Serena nodded vigorously.

Counselor Oak: Excellent!

Grand Duchess Lusamine: Wonderful.

Wicke: (at the same time) Wonderful.

Jacob: Aye! Nou let's eat, before this crab wanders off ma plate. (notices only salad on his plate)

Later that night, up in her room, Serena watched Ash, who was training with Gladion and their respective Pokémon, from her window. Lillie her three Pokémon were watching on a nearby bench outside. Among Gladion's Pokémon were Mightyena, Umbreon, a Midnight Lycanroc, Zoroark, Houndoom, and Noivern.

Ash: Okay, Charizard, use Dragon Pulse with Fire Blast!

Gladion: Noivern, use Boomburst with Dragon Rush!

Later Serena watched as Ash and Gladion performed a series of Z-Poses to build Z-Power for their respective Lycanroc.

Ash: (performs a Z-Pose) Lycanroc, use Splintered Stormshards!

Gladion: (performs a Z-Pose) Lycanroc, use Continental Crush!

These attacks collided, creating an explosion. When it cleared, Ash ran up to his Pokémon, petting them each to let them know he was proud of them. Then he saw Serena watching him and waved at her. Serena noticed him, and blushing a little, waved back before going into her room.

Up in her room, Serena was getting ready for bed. She had on a nice pink nightgown, was combing her hair with her fork, and of course, was enjoying the feeling of the floor under her barefeet. Sebastian meanwhile was getting stuff off himself.

Sebastian: Dis has got to be, without a doubt, de single most humiliating day of my life. Oooooh dat barbarian of a female! I'd like to marinade her. (gets patted on the head by Serena) I hope dat you appreciate what I go through for you, young lady.

Serena got herself in bed, and felt how soft the mattress was.

Sebastian: Now, we got to make a plan to get dat boy to kiss you. Tomorrow, when he takes you for dat ride, you gotta look your best. You gotta bat your eyes, like dis (demonstrates); You gotta pucker up your lips, like dis (demonstrates this also); So if he gets you into a smoochin' mood, you'll be prepared to... Serena, are you listening to me?

By now, Sebastian realized that Serena had just fallen asleep. Sighing to himself, he blew out the nearby candle, deciding he should go to sleep as well.

Sebastian: You are hopeless, child. You know dat? (yawns) Completely hopeless.

Back at the sea temple of Samiya, King Drayden was worried about where Serena was. The Horsea swam up to him.

King Drayden: Any sign of them?

Horsea: No, Your Majesty. We've searched everywhere. We've found no trace of your daughter... Or Sebastian.

King Drayden: Well, keep looking. Leave no shell unturned, no coral unexplored. Let no one in this kingdom sleep until she's safe at home.

Horsea: (bows) Yes, Sire. (leaves)

As the Horsea left, the King was filled with regret after what he had done to her. Sitting on his throne, he picked up a piece of shell that showed a mermaid with a tiara and long flowing blonde hair. This was his long departed Queen Cynthia. To King Drayden, Cynthia was more than just his Queen; she was his best friend. And no one loved music more than her... Except for Serena.

King Drayden fantasized about the past, and we see the following scenes through flashback-

King Drayden and Queen Cynthia are seen dancing around together, watched by their seven young daughters - Hilda, Marina, Misty, May, Rosa, Dawn, and Serena; who soon join in.

Next we see young Serena practicing the piano, watched by both parents. Then when Serena had a bandage on her right hand, King Drayden kissed it to make it better.

Next we see young Hilda and Serena playing hide and seek with their father. They sneak up behind him with their mother, and they all share a good laugh.

Next we see King Drayden blowing on a flute, causing a nearby Qwilfish to puff up. This made both him and young Serena laugh.

We next see Queen Cynthia singing a lullaby to their seven daughters.

Queen Cynthia: (singing) Oh the waves roll low
And the waves roll high
And so it goes
Under a bright blue endless sky
Waves try to measure
Days that we treasure
Wave hello
And wave
Goodbye...

After both parents tuck their daughters in, they turned to leave. But not before saying their good nights.

Queen Cynthia: Good night, girls.

We next see King Drayden and Queen Cynthia on the rocks of a cove the surface, and the King giving her an anniversary gift he had had it made, especially for her; a music box that played their song. Their young daughters see them about to kiss, then their father comes up behind them and starts playing with them. Suddenly, as dark clouds roll in, all the merpeople saw a pirate ship.

King Drayden: Go! (gathers his daughters)

But in the chaos, after Queen Cynthia managed to save their oldest daughter, Hilda, she was unable to save herself.

King Drayden: Cynthia! CYNTHIA!!

Queen Cynthia was crushed to death by the pirate ship while she was trying to save their music box, and the ship sank after hitting the rocks.

King Drayden: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

Cynthia's death left King Drayden devastated, and the whole kingdom was heartbroken. Eventually, even King Drayden's heart healed, and he promised that he would raise their girls properly. But he also banned all the inhabitants of the sea from ever going to the surface... So they wouldn't have to suffer the same fate as his wife.

Then King Drayden's mind flashed back to Serena after he had destroyed her whole human collection in the hopes to get her to see reason. The look on her face made him regret his actions. Then he remembered the last words Serena had said to him.

Serena's Voice: My mother wouldn't have wanted you to do this... I HATE YOU!!... HATE YOU!!... HATE YOU!!

King Drayden sighed regretfully as he remembered all that. Right now, he wished more than ever that he wasn't so overprotective of Serena like he had been for so long. Now she wouldn't be missing.

King Drayden: (looking at Queen Cynthia's picture) Oh, Cynthia... What have I done?... What have I done?

With that in mind, he made a prayer, hoping that Serena would return, and hope that she would forgive him.
